A Three-Step Retrofit for the Installer
Designed for fast commercial refits and equally suited to private installations. Swap the original driver in any existing fixture for a HiluX unit and the same luminaire turns into a Shelly-controlled smart light — no extra hub, no extra wall box.
Disconnect the Old Driver
Open the fixture, isolate the circuit and remove the existing constant-current or 24V driver. Mains and LED output wiring stay in place.
Wire In the HiluX Driver
Land L, N, E and the LED output on the push-Wago terminals. Optional: clip on the 8-pole connector box to daisy chain power and push dimming across a whole row of office panels, corridor downlights or shop spots.
Hand Over Three Ways to Dim
Energise, then let the end user — facility manager, business owner or homeowner — pair the Shelly app, dim from a standard push switch, or stick a BLU remote anywhere on the wall. No commissioning software, no integrator required.
Daisy Chain Wiring — Fewer Cables, Faster Installs
Run one supply through a full row of office panels, corridor downlights or strip runs and dim the whole group from a single switch
The 8-pole connector box (L, L, N, N, E, E, P, P) lets you carry mains and the push-dimming signal straight from one HiluX driver to the next. Land the supply on the first unit, chain to the second, third and onwards — no extra junction boxes hidden in the suspended ceiling or attic, and no separate dimming cable to pull.
Tap the orange dots to explore each connection point
- Line Terminals (L, L)
- Two Line connections for daisy chaining mains power between fixtures.
- Neutral Terminals (N, N)
- Two Neutral connections, both sides identical for flexible wiring.
- Earth Terminals (E, E)
- Two Earth/Ground connections for safety bonding through the daisy chain.
- Push Dimming (P, P)
- Two Push dimming terminals. The dimming signal is shared across all chained drivers.
Power and Dimming on One Cable
The 8-pole block carries both 230V supply and the push-dimming signal — pull one cable, dim a full row of office panels or downlights from a single switch.
Less Mess in the Ceiling
No individual feeds, no extra junction boxes. Cleaner first fix, faster second fix — whether you're working in a suspended grid or a residential void.
Optional When You Don't Need It
For a single fixture — one downlight in a wardrobe, one feature light, one bathroom mirror — leave the connector box in the toolbox and wire the driver direct to mains.
Use the Connector Box Only When You Need It
For a single fixture — a feature light in a reception area, an under-cabinet strip in a kitchen, one downlight on its own circuit — wire mains straight into the HiluX driver and skip the connector box. Clip it on later if the install is extended to more fixtures.
Technical Specifications
Five HiluX variants cover the LED loads found in professional installations — from a 600×600 office panel to a 120W run of strip behind a retail counter — and the same range fits any residential fixture. Pick the output that matches the driver you're replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from electricians installing the HiluX driver in offices, commercial spaces and private homes
Which fixtures can I retrofit with the HiluX driver?
A single-colour LED load whose driver can be replaced — and the load must match the driver’s output current, voltage range and power limit. The constant-current (CC) variants drive passive, single-colour LED modules: 600×600 office LED panels, troffers, pendants, shop spots, restaurant downlights, recessed downlights (including HiluX DS8), bathroom mirror lights and stair lighting. The 24V DC variant drives compatible 24V LED strips and modules — under-cabinet runs, retail signage and coving. Match the output to the existing LED load: 200 mA, 350 mA, 700 mA or 1050 mA for constant-current fixtures; 24V DC up to 120W for strips and tape.
How does push dimming work on a standard wall switch?
Wire any momentary push switch to the P-terminal. Short press toggles on/off; press-and-hold dims up or down. The next press reverses direction. It runs entirely on the driver — no WiFi, no Shelly app, no commissioning. The customer gets a familiar dimmer experience the moment you energise the circuit.
Can I daisy chain multiple drivers from one supply?
Yes. The 8-pole connector box (L, L, N, N, E, E, P, P) carries 230V mains and the push-dimming signal from one fixture to the next, so a full row of office ceiling panels or corridor downlights runs off a single feed cable and a single switch. The connector box is optional — leave it off for single-fixture jobs.
Do I need a hub or a separate gateway?
No. The HiluX driver has the Shelly chipset built in — WiFi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth LE direct from the unit. It pairs straight to the building's WiFi network and works with the Shelly app, Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and Homey. BLU remotes pair over Bluetooth without involving the WiFi network at all — useful in offices where IT controls the network.
Constant current or 24V — which variant do I pick?
Constant-current (CC) variants replace existing CC drivers in office LED panels, downlights, troffers and mirror lights — the 200 mA at 22–26 VDC, and the 350 mA, 700 mA and 1050 mA at 22–42 VDC. The 24V DC constant-voltage (CV) variant up to 120W drives LED strip in retail signage, under-counter runs, coving and stair lighting. Read the rating off the original driver and match it.
Will it still dim if the WiFi drops?
Yes. The Shelly app needs the WiFi network, but push dimming on the P-terminal and BLU remotes both work without any network — critical for shops, offices and any space where staff can't lose light control because of a network outage.
